Trust | Sport Relief

As the nation celebrates Sport Relief this week, Watford Football Club showed its support to the campaign during the West Bromwich Albion game at The Vic earlier this month.

All week Sport Relief has been encouraging the entire nation to take on a huge collective challenge – beating a billion steps a day, every day. A host of famous faces including Zoe Ball, Greg James and Alex Jones have also been leading the charge and taking on their own epic challenges to raise money and inspire the public to make their steps count as part of Team Sport Relief.

To help the nation keep track of their hard earned steps and ensure they count towards the national total, the brand new Sport Relief App is available to download for free. Packed with innovative challenges, exclusive celebrity content and an inbuilt national step tracker to keep count towards the billion, it also includes countless ways to get active and raise money for Sport Relief.

Since 2002, Sport Relief has raised over £335 million, with all the money raised by the public being used to tackle critical issues affecting people across the UK and the world.

Sport Relief and the Premier League have worked together since the very first Sport Relief and together they jointly fund Premier League Enterprise. This is delivered by football clubs all around the country, including Watford, to positively engage young people in education and develop their skills in entrepreneurship and business.

The Premier League Enterprise regional-play off winners from Rickmansworth School

In addition, every year clubs compete in the PL Enterprise Challenge, a football business challenge set by Premier League Executive Chairman, Richard Scudamore.

This year, Rickmansworth School won the chance to represent Watford and were victorious in their regional play-off. The prize for the pupils from Rickmansworth School (Charlie, Freddie, Henry, Georgie and Katie) will be the chance to attend the PL Enterprise Challenge Final, and compete against five other clubs to be crowned PL Enterprise Challenge Winners.

Everyone at Watford FC and the Community Sports and Education Trust wishes the pupils the best of luck at the final in London on April 23.
