Tony Coton Autobiography | On Sale

A three-time Player of the Season winner who made just shy of 300 appearances for the Hornets - Tony Coton is a true Watford legend.

Signed for £300,000 in 1984, the goalkeeper excelled during six years at Vicarage Road and enjoyed similar success with Manchester City, earning a reputation as the finest goalkeeper to never play for England.

While at Watford, the late Graham Taylor saved Coton from jail, and after hanging up his boots the Tamworth-born stopper went on to work under Sir Alex Ferguson as goalkeeping coach during some of Manchester United's most successful years.

Read all about Coton's journey, from grafting as an amateur during his teenage years to more recent posts in scouting and recruitment - via a lucrative spell in Abu Dhabi - in his new autobiography 'There To Be Shot At'.

The book is now available to purchase from The Hornets Shop - both in-store and online at thehornetsshop.co.uk.
