Loan Lads: Foulquier Finds The Bottom Corner
Dimitri Foulquier took his goal tally this season to three as the Getafe utility man netted in their 2-2 away draw at Eibar.
He picked up the ball on the edge of the box in the 52nd minute, shifted onto his right foot and deftly found the bottom corner, putting the ball out of the reach of Asier Riesgo.
Staying in La Liga, Cucho Hernández came on as a 72nd minute substitute for Huesca, but couldn't change the course of the game as they fell to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands on Athletic Bilbao.
In Scotland Daniel Bachmann was just minutes away from keeping a clean sheet against Celtic at Rugby Park, but Scott Brown's deflected 90th minute winner put paid to that. The goalscorer was then sent off for second bookable offence for his celebration. Kilmarnock remain in fourth place in the league.
Tommie Hoban suffered a nasty-looking knee injury in Aberdeen's 2-2 draw with St. Mirren at home. Hoban was forced off in first-half stoppage time, and must wait for the results of a scan to find out the severity of his injury.
The Watford contingent on-loan at Udinese almost combined to score against Chievo. Substitute Marvin Zeegelaar put in a great cross for Stefano Okaka, who chested the ball, turned and shot, but his effort was well held by Stefano Sorrentino. Udinese did run out eventual 1-0 winners against bottom-of-the-table Chievo, while Ben Wilmot was an unused substitute for the Zebrette.
Dodi Lukebakio played the full game but Fortuna Düsseldorf were outplayed by Bayer Leverkusen at at the BayArena, losing 2-0 in the Bundesliga.
In League One, Jerome Sinclair played 68 minutes for Oxford United in a 1-0 home loss to Peterborough. Oxford are in action again this evening against Accrington Stanley. Alex Jakubiak could also feature for Bristol Rovers against Portsmouth tonight.
Michael Folivi made his FA Cup debut in AFC Wimbledon's spirited 1-0 defeat to Millwall at Kingsmeadow. The young striker had two opportunities - one following a throw in where he turned and unfortunately dragged his shot wide, the other was the Dons' first shot on target where he latched onto a knock-down to half-volley towards goal. It was straight at the Lions' keeper though. He could feature this evening away to Rochdale in the league.
Ashley Charles suffered the disappointment of his first dismissal in the professional game, as he saw a second yellow card against Solihull Moors in the Conference Premier. Solihull went on to score two goals to draw 2-2.
Sam Howes and Eastbourne Borough fell to a 2-0 defeat away to Billericay Town - Lloyd Doyley played for Ricay. Andrew Eleftheriou was also on the losing side as he played the full game in Braintree's 2-1 loss at the hands of Eastleigh Town.
