So a first home win over Spurs in Watford's Premier League era wasn't quite to be, thanks to some stubborn 10-man defending, the Rookery End goal frame and, perhaps, Eric Dier's right arm.

All the same a draw with Tottenham, Real Madrid conquering Tottenham no less, is an indication of just how far this Watford side have come.

That's five points the Hornets have wrestled from Liverpool, Arsenal and the Lilywhites, with Manchester United made to sweat for their win at The Vic. Only Manchester City have left the Hornets blushing.

You can watch the game from a unique, cinematic perspective below via the club's official YouTube channel.
