Sam Dalby joined Watford from Leeds United in July 2019.
The striker quickly became a regular for the Under-23s, scoring seven goals so far this season, and his fine form was rewarded with a spot on the first team bench for the trip to face Everton in the Carabao Cup in October 2019.
Dalby began his career at Leyton Orient, coming through the youth ranks before making his first team debut as a substitute in an EFL Trophy win against Stevenage in August 2016. He was just 16 years old at the time, making him one of the youngest players in the club's history, and he later scored the opening goal on his full debut — a 3-2 win against Crawley Town in League Two.
In January 2018, Dalby was signed by Leeds United. He impressed for the club's Under-23 side and scored for the first team in a pre-season friendly, before going out on loan to Morecambe in League Two.
Watford snapped up Dalby during the summer of 2019, on a two-year deal with an additional one-year option.
